STEM Summer Camps 2019

As the demand for talented coders, game developers, robotics engineers, and designers continues to increase so do the opportunities to attend STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) summer camps across Northern Ireland. There are a range of STEM camps available for all ages and all abilities, these camps provide the opportunity to develop new skills, build on existing skills, meet new and like minded people to be the best you can be.

Why is STEM important for kids & teenagers?

STEM is not just coding, is important in our ever changing world as we now depend on it from the economy to manufacturing, food production and health care, plus so much more we now take for granted — it is all backed by science, technology, engineering, and math.

So why is STEM so important? Why are we still talking about it?

There are still a huge demand for for STEM jobs to be filled across all sectors in Northern Ireland, with a severe under representation of women in STEM fields. The opportunities are out there it is time to take up the opportunity to get involved, no matter what job career you decided on STEM will be a part of the day to day routine. Novosco Camp –

Dates: 29th July – 2nd August 2019

Aimed at: 16 – 17 year old

Sentinus Summer Camps –

Availability: July – August – 8 different camp ran through-out NI

Aimed at : 9 – 13 year old

Fee: £95.00

Kainos Camps – 

AI Camp is a 2-week long camp, full of learning, workshops and practical sessions to give students a good introduction to artificial intelligence and machine learning, and how it can be used to benefit our everyday lives.

Dates: 19th – 31st August 2019

Aimed at : Students studying a degree in a relevant field if study

Kainos CodeCamp is an opportunity for STEM students to learn how to build apps and websites from scratch, take part in interactive sessions with IT geniuses and hear talks on everything from cybercrime to artificial intelligence, gaining an insight into the latest tech.

Dates: 22 July – 2 August (10 days)

Aimed at : 14 – 18 year old, studying a STEM subject

W5 Brightsparks
